This was bought in Cairo in the early 40’s yes, it is that old. My aunt traveled to Egypt numerous times and it was part of her vast jewelry collection which I have listed some items, I’m in my 50s now and do not wear a lot of jewelry like I used to.
Very stunning and orate piece, but so stylish. The metal is sterling silver and I believe the scarabs are indeed green and deep blue turquoise, 4 scarabs total approx, 1 inch & 1.5 inches, the 2 sterling medallions are ornately carved, the necklace has significant weight to it.
