I PURCHASED SEVERAL FANTASTIC OLD ITEMS AT A HUGE ANTIQUE AUCTION AND WILL HAVE MANY MORE ITEMS TO LIST FROM THIS SALE.
MY HUSBAND WON THIS BOX WITH A SPECTACULAR ANTIQUE EARLY CAST IRON FENCE FOR AROUND A VICTORIAN DOLL HOUSE, OR CHRISTMAS TREE, POSSIBLY A VILLAGE OR A TRAIN SET AND IT ACTUALLY WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF ANOTHER VICTORIAN WOOD TOY FENCE THAT I AM GOING TO LIST NEXT AND WAS A SURPRISE TO US AS IT WAS CAREFULLY WRAPPED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX.
THIS HAS 11 FENCE RAILS (4 1/4″ X 11″), 4 LARGE CORNER POSTS (7 1/2″), 2 LARGE GATE POSTS (7 1/2″), AND 6 SMALLER CONNECTING POSTS (6 1/4″)
ALL THE POSTS HAVE A SCREW COMING OUT THE BOTTOM TO MOUNT TO WOOD BUT WE MANAGED TO GET THIS TO STAND WITHOUT BEING SCREWED IN. OUR TABLE OUTSIDE WAS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO SET UP THE ENTIRE SET. THE PHOTO SHOWS A 2′ X 3′ RECTANGLE INSTEAD OF THE ACTUAL 3′ X 3′ SQUARE WHEN YOU ADD THE EXTRA GATE ON EACH SIDE.
THESE ARE IN ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH NO BREAKAGE AND THE CIRCA IS UNKNOWN, WITH NO MARKINGS BUT WE THINK IT IS CIRCA 1900-1910. THERE IS A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF PAINT LOSS AND THIS WEIGHS 24 POUNDS, BUT I CAN FIT IT IN A FLAT RATE PRIORITY MAIL BOX.
PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. BUYER PAYS ACTUAL SHIPPING (NO HANDLING FEES).
THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY AUCTION.
