This neat old brass item is the logo off of an antique safe. It is made of solid brass and is quite heavy, about 2 or 3 pounds. As you can see from my photos, it is marked; Wilders Patent / Salamander Safe / 1848. It is about 7 1/2 inches high and 7 inches wide. There are two, original holes for mounting it to the front of a safe. Looks great hanging on the wall as a piece of advertising or maybe someone has a safe that is missing its logo. No reserve.
