Offered for auction is beautiful example of a 1945 Navy General Radio Precision Wavemeter covering 16 Khz to 50 MHz.It is complete with all coils and the original 3 card bound instruction set. It is Type CAG -60098. It uses a 1LE3 vacuum tube and a Little Six 1.5 Volt battery.The original instructions are included as well as two cards of frequenccy calibration covering the entire spectrum of 16 KHz to 50 MH.The battery is not in the unit and cannot be tested as such. Many of these were converted by simply using a diode for RF detection instead of the tube,thus eliminating the tube and battery requirement.The whole instrument is in great condition as the photos show.
