The old gilt on silver brooch is a chinese piece made back between 1900’s to 1920’s. It is built on a silver frame in perfect condition with jade wings attached.
The wings are old jadeite jades carved and pierced. The color of the jades is beautiful, vibrant and vivid green. The green is not pale as I have seen often on other similar butterfly brooches.
The jade wings themselves are worth more than the entire brooch, but this is for you to decide.
The condition of this jewelry is intact and ready to wear, with very few traces of wear on the gilt. Marked SILVER.
