Up for sale, is a antique flap holster for the early Colt Woodsman and High Standard automatic pistols. The holster was made by the old west maker M.E. French of Montrose, Colorado. The firm made high quality leather goods from the late 1800’s into the early parts of the 1900’s. The quality of the leather work is beautiful on this holster, with the tooling and stitching done by skilled craftsmen. The leather is still very good condition for it’s age. The holster has initials C.M.D. stamped in the small banner on the flap.
