Antique wooden butter churn. It’s constructed of pine staves and forged iron bands that keep it tight and secure. It’s complete with it’s original carved and fitted splash cover as well as a dasher.  This old churn spent generations in forgotten storage and has a wonderful patina. The coloring is rich and warm and the surface shows age and wear. Including the dasher stick, it measures 34 1/2 inches high, without it, the churn is about 21 inches tall. Instead of round, its actually oval and the bottom measures 7 3/4 inches by 6 3/4 inches while the top measures 7 1/8 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The cover fits perfectly and helped to keep the cream from splashing out during the churning process.
